In October 2020 the  Collinsville Open Cut coal mine team got the  sign-off for 99 hectares of progressively  rehabilitated land from the  Department of Environment & Science.

The Collinsville  operation was the fifth Glencore coal mine to achieve Government sign-off  since 2017.

The other five sites  include Glencore’s Newlands (2017), Rolleston (2018 & 2019) Westside  (2020) and Ulan (2020) projects in NSW and QLD.

The newly certified  land is being used for grazing cattle by a private landholder from a  neighboring property.
